New Markers! Architecture! Batman!

Batman On Watch

‘Batman On Watch’

Testing out new markers, a set called ‘Sea & Sky’ by Copic. It came with mostly blues and greens, but I just focused on the greens, with some grey. I took this picture from the elevated platform waiting for the Redline at Sheridan one day, hoping to draw it. The grey on the wall is suppose to be paint, like they tried to cover up graffiti or something. Not too happy with how that turned out, but everything else is pretty solid I guess. I added Batman on the rooftop cuz why not.

With school starting this week haven’t had much time to draw. But when I read or take notes for my architecture history class I do these kind of mini drawings, so I guess that counts for something. Not sure if it’s considered ‘studying’ if half the time I’m drawing, but it keeps me interested and helps to retain what I learned, so it’s worth it. Anyway, here’s a peak of what I’m learning this week, Baroque Architecture in the 1600′s.

Adventure Time!

Finn and Jake in the Robot Apocalypse!

Finn and Jake in the Robot Apocalypse!

Adventure Time is slowly transitioning from ‘my favorite cartoon on television’ status to ‘my favorite show on television’ status. Here I pay homage to Finn the human and Jake the shape-shifting dog, doing battle against the robot apocalypse. Will update in a few days with color, but in the mean time check it out on Cartoon Network, it’s on all the time. Watch and become enlightened.
